    CPUID

    CPU
    Motherboard Name/model
    BIOS version
    Also computer name/model if it is shown

    that might do for now. the motherboard is probably going to be an issue as I have googled it and dont see any definitive download site for the BIOS. i will keep looking and see if I can find a dl for the latest BIOS for this board. wish me luck

    Best option if we cant find a BIOS version online is to call compaq and tell them what motherboard you have:
    I think they gave you the wrong info and dont even know what your system actually is.

    if I find anything I will post it, but I cant search right now. (i am at work) I will search tonight as soon as I can.
    I did a quick check for it online, but i dont see it anywhere. sorry

    yes i tried to run HP software system manager but it dont do nothing i ran it from exe all it would do is open say it would download updates but nothing thx

    Well I have looked and found nothing. I even found a post on mydigitallife that looked exactly the same? and one site that had links to 3 pay-for programs to install the bios? sham? ok so I think the best option is to call compaq. Since this is an OEM board, the company Wistron is not good for providing any updates.
