You might search your computer for any .rom files If it downloaded a BIOS then it would be in this format. then check and see if the program has an option to install from a file instead of just downloading. I had to do this for an asus because dl wouldn't run. I could only save to hard drive and then run from file.

Hmmm usually each motherboard vendor has its own flash program. asus has its own, hp has its own etc. The best advice I can give is to follow the following website and set up your own bootable flash-drive:

Boot From A USB ? for XP?

Look at method 7 first or follow link: Edit: I think this is only for XP and older Boot From A USB Flash/Pen/Key Drive

If that doesnt seem to help, try method 2 and 3

if they dont work, you can do (the harder method) method 1 with the help of method 5 (virtual floppy setup)

Another question: Did you ever find any .rom files on your PC?

if you did find a .rom bios flash file, upload it I guess.

i still dont think you are going to have any luck unless the file is for you BIOS/Mobo. As you said before it said it was the wrong one. Call HP/Compaq and make sure you have the right one for the motherboard Wistron 360B
