    New Shortcut Wizard Doesn't Work...

Hey guys, sorry if this is on the wrong category, this is my first post on the website. Anyways, I had a problem yesterday regarding the New Shortcut Wizard. I was trying to make a new shortcut on the desktop, I right click an empty space on the desktop go to "New" then "Shortcut" but nothing pops up. Usually a wizard pops up asking me what to use as the shortcut but it doesn't popup! Please someone help. If this is in the wrong section I'm very sorry, you guys can move it. Thank you for your help. :)

Hello Papaniz, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Try the lnk (LNK) download in the tutorial below to restore all of it's default associations for shortcuts to see if it may be able to fix this for you.

Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Once you follow Brink's instructions, download "FileMenu Tools"

You're most welcome Papaniz. I'm happy to hear that you got it sorted.

You can get more details about the program at it's link, but it's basically allows you to customize and enhance the context menu in Windows 7.
