"Microsoft Image Composite Editor has stopped working" on launch

I am getting the following error message when launching Microsoft ICE

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, still no luck. I've rebooted and reinstalled, still no luck. It was working just fine a few days ago, I didn't change anything, and now all of a sudden I can't get it to even launch properly...anyone ever has this problem before, or have any ideas on how to fix it?

Right-click on the icon and choose "Run as Administrator". Does that allow you to get into the program?

Also, no likely in my opinion, but maybe it's trying to phone home and can't.

Unfortunately, it does the same thing even when running as administrator. What do you mean by trying to phone home and can't? Is there a way to disable something like that?

That was one of the first things I tried, still no luck unfortunately. I had an older version, so I thought maybe the newer version fixed some problem that was causing my error, but any version I install gives me the same error.

Photo programs will have a very difficult time with only 2 gigs of ram.

This website may be of help.

It just seems odd it would work perfect, and then 2 days later just stop for whatever reason. Thanks for the help guys, guess I'll just have to try to find another photo stitcher at this point.

Some programs like to "phone home", to communicate with the company which sells them. I don't know that this one does that, but it is something to check, because if it does phone home, there could be an issue if it can't phone home - perhaps there is a server down somewhere which it is trying to communicate with.
