    Rapid Storage Technology and 64bit

I have Intel Rapid Storage Technology running Raid 1 on my Window 7 Pro 64 bit OS. In task manager I see that RST is running its two programs in 32 bit mode.

Can anyone tell mw if RST should be running native 64bit?

Most of time when you install a RAID it will ask you for 32bit signed drivers and that will act as the 64bit driver for the operating system.

It's the app, as long as it works, you don't have to worry about it. The driver is 64bit, so it should be OK...

Thanks for the quick reply. I asked the question as I see that RST notification is taking up to a minute to say that the RAID is now protecting. Is this a bug?

I think that it depends on the size of the disks in the array, with larger disks taking longer to undergo their integrity checks. What capacity disks do you have in the array?

    Hi Beemer2
If you look in services you will see Intel RST is set for delayed start thats why it runs late .
    Good Luck
