Windows 7: Symantec and Win7 issues?

Win7

It is the Symantec enterprise edition 3, it will be running in a 32bit server2003/2008 and exchng2007 environment, we have a combination of machines ranging from XPSP3, VistaBiz and Win7, all less than 2 years old and fully updated.

I appreciate all your inputs, and the wheedling about how crap Symantec was, but appearantly it has become much improved. Not to mention we are outsourcing about 45% (3 servers) of our load in the next 5 months and they all have Symantec, so there is also the crossclient compatibility issue to be addressed.

On another note, I do believe that this forum is on e of the best I have dared to use, no excessive flaming for asking about basic info and some good input from the other members

Now I have to find out about eventual issues between Win7 and SMB 2.0. I will check-in here again later today/this evening.

Ciao4now,
Wolfie

When you buy one of the paid AV programs, you pay for bloat in almost exact proportion to the money spent.

It is almost as though they need to convince their suckers that they are doing something, doing handstands and backflips every time you turn on the machine.

Contrast that with experts' choice MSE which installs in 30 seconds, updates, runs it's first scan, then you never see or hear from it again unless an iinvader tries to get in.

Even almost-invisible Avast has responded to trim its own sails to not require email registration any longer.

Symantec PGP encrypted Win7 64-bit not booting
I have a ASUS laptop running Win 7 pro 64-bit. It has whole disk encryption with Symantec PGP. Not sure if that's the problem. I can boot into safe mode but not into "regular mode." When I boot regular, I hear the "start up" sound but screen is blank. Screen comes on "safe mode."

Win7 and Symantec
Hi, I upgraded my laptop from Vista Business to Windows 7 Ultimate x86 7264 (hopefully that's a stable release). It seems that Symantic Endpoint Protection 11 is not compatible with Windows 7. How is your experience? Cheers
