Windows 7: "Item Not Found" is driving me nuts

belikexp is a user
post number 4 is from me, check the number in the upper right corner of each post.
You would help me if you read the the whole thread, I tried all the solutions offered here so far
except windows repair, I have to do that later

Try this. Repair Install
I've done this twice and it repairs your install without reinstalling your apps.



be like xp - I wanted Win 7 to be like xp.

"Item Not Found" when Moving or Renaming
Every time I move or rename a folder, an "Item Not Found" dialog opens. It says "Could not find this item. This is no longer located in C:\...". When I click "Try Again", it moves/renames just fine. Does anyone know why it's happening and how I can make it stop? It's incredibly annoying.
