fonts don't show file extensions

Because it is not showing you the file names. It is showing the font name.

Browse to the font folder located at C:\Windows\Fonts. Allow to populate. Change the view to Details. Right-click on any of the column headers and click to check the option Font file names. The names will now appear, together with their extensions as shown below.

Unfortunately, this does not give the name for all of the fonts, and I've found no way around this using the standard interface.

However, if you download and install Tree Size Free JAM Software - Windows Freeware and allow it to scan the font folder C:\Windows\Fonts it will give a list of the names and types.
