Windows 7: no write menu appears in test disk????

windows 7 home premium
no write menu appears in test disk????

hi guyz .. i ve used test disk to re built partition table . my partition D: appers but there is no "write" menu as u can see in the figurte..plz help me .
partition magic has missed my DL drive but test disk shows D drive .

I bet because you have selected the System partition, and you are obviously in Windows running a command prompt. You really do not want to be farking around with your system partition, but if you are savvy enough with coputers and know what you are doing, try running test disk as administrator....

cannot write to new disk on XP machine
Installed a new disk on my XP machine for backup. In XP the disk is shared, users can change files. My windows 7 machine sees the disk and the files on it, but it cannot open them, and it will not allow to write to the disk. It says I don't have permission. Don't know what else to do from the XP...
