good point Scar.. ya it took mine 14 minutes to install the entire thing. I like it. Once I get my base drivers all setup. And I almost have. I'll be making a backup image.

sorry 7077. your right. I just saw that. lol

I like how fast it is.

I loaded it on a 1.5 GHz machine with less than 1 Gig of RAM to start with, just to see what would happen, and it runs really fast, even on this machine that is not even close to what MS states is the minimum requirements.

I also love the look and feel it. I guess that is the Aero, but, I just like it.

The only downfall is that I probably will not want to pay for the Ultimate version when it is released in it's final version as it will probably be lots of $$$!

my favorite thing is how in the 'Devices and Printers' section it has an actual picture of my keyboard and mouse instead of a generic one

the rest of windows 7 is cool too

    Not Bad

I have been using the beta on my laptop for a couple of months now, and have just installed RC a couple of days ago.

Task bar- My god is it just awesome now, i always hated grouping the taskbar in vista but having the icons and how smooth areo works at showing you in realtime what is showing is great
Downside was in the beta they had small icons for task bar buttons, now there big, getting used to it now, but would rather a choice to have them small when not in operation

Looks and funtionality - Ok, vista, what happened there it was one of those dam we screwed up and run for cover and hide, they had known issues that should have been fixed asap.... Windows 7 fixed it, first colours you can have a taskbar with a selection of colours that... wait for it... CHANGE COLOUR.
Love the drag window to left, right, top to expand in different ways, i can't live without it now

Windows Media Player - I notice 3 good things being able to play through network in another room, previewing files, and codec packs....
However i hate how they seperated the now playing to a new window
When its in the taskbar its harder to view the file playing then before...

Connecting devices - is effortless, that's all i need to say

Games and apps - Well due to the fact its still in a beta type state i will leave this and just say installing games are difficult and don't work, it took me an hour to problem solve gtaIV to play
Chrome doesnt work unless you change a file path

Anyway ive had my wine, but at the end of the day i will be buying this when it comes out in the shelves, it blows vista and xp out of the water, faster, more compatible, and just awesome
