    neither have I

    Which indicates (and I will reiterate previous comments) that this is a GFX issue (cause AERO is rendered on the GPU) and not an issue with Windows itself

    If it was a Windows issue....the issue would be represented by the whole....not a select few

    Here is a thread in the Microsoft social forums discussing this problem;
    Aero Lag when opening and closing windows in Windows 7

    Edit: There don't appear to be answers.

    I do not know if this is your problem but i did find an article about doing this on purpose:
    Make your windows minimize & maximize in slow motion in Windows 7 | The Windows Club
    So maybe some in your reg that is causing this to happen ??

    It can't be a hardware issue because it happens on various machines with completely different specs,and since vista worked fine it has to be a W7 issue.

    saw something interesting in the thread you posted:to try windows vista drivers instead w7
    If you have any other suggestion will be happy to test.
    Someone who has this issue should try SP1 and see if it's fixed.

    Not true at all....why isn't this a global issue? Why isn't this a critical bug? Why does this affect an extremely limited population of Windows 7 machines. Vista and 7 have a DIFFERENT driver framework....even if Vista drivers work for 7....the compatibility is not 100% there

    The people here are very helpful and would certainly give this a shot. However, my point before was that I have never read about this issue on these forums...so I don't think it's impacting users here....so there might not be anybody able to test for you.

    What is strange is that this happens only when closing or opening and does NOT happen when minimizing or maximizing.
