If you're not sure, I would leave Power at default settings which seem perfectly timed for most users.

Hey I tried it out there was this Graphics driver problem I updated the driver too but still the problem xists but how do I solve it the only thing i did is changed the power button to hibernate and put it to hibernate. One more thing that i would like to add is that the Hibernate option do not come in the shut down list as it normally does.
Where did the display driver error appear? Does the same or another error repeat now?

Are you using the driver delivered by optional Windows Updates? Check WUD now.

Please post the exact error message back here and also in the Drivers forum along with a full description of your problem to get maximum help.

    The Error msg are
1>Drivers are interfering with Windows Resuming from sleep mode. View Details.
2>Performances can be improved by changing visual settings. View Details.

When 1st click the 1st msg it says:
These driver are causing windows to Resume slowly
Name: Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver
    Filename: igdkmd32.sys
Device: Inte(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

The 2nd prob say change windows visual settings to Windos basic for improved performance

But my opinion is :My windows is working absolutely fine and ok with no probs while Starting my pc and also no problem while working .
But after I switch off the PC everything stops even the monitor but the Power light in the CPU keeps glowing and my SMPS and Processor fan keeps running.
But the problem doesn't take place When I hibernate My PC then everything works perfectly SMPS turns off Processor fan turns off normally.
I updated both the Bios of my motherboard, the windows, and also downloaded the drivers and installed them but no change.

One more thing that I would like to add is after shutting down when processor fan is running. the only way to restart the pc again is by pressing the restart button not by the power button or hold down the power button for 10secs the pc turns off then again press the power button That means Windows is not properly shutting down. help guys The only way I shut down my PC now is to hibernate it

There are no video card specs posted but the error message you finally posted back is may also be blocking shutdown. Go to the Intel site and look for the latest driver. If it's Vista, try also installing it in compatibility mode.

As suggested earlier with no response from you, check optional Windows Updates for a display driver.

Re-Confirm you have the latest BIOS update for mobo, then check BIOS settings and try each S1, S2 or S3 setting to see if it fixes shutdown prob.

As also suggested earlier with no reponse, look in Event Viewer>Admin view and Performance log at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools\Advanced Tools to see what repeat errors are occurring at the time of Shutdown.

Shutdown issues are some of the hardest to sort, requiring close cooperation for any chance of success.

Sorry i couldn't reply fast but I have tried everything
    Updated BIOS
Updated windows the optional too (except the language packs) incl. drivers.
downloaded the latest driver from Intel site.
the problem doesn't take place in Vista or XP its only in seven.
and the above mentioned 2 problem issues are the only ones which keeps coming.

It is obviously not the hardware, so let's deal directly with the OS or possible infection:

Save a Win7 backup image of your current install externally along with your files. Then wipe the Win7 partition using free Partition Wizard bootable CD "Wipe Partition" utility, or DISKPART "Clean All" command if your Win7 is on its own HDD.

Now boot the WIN7 DVD for Custom install using Drive tools to create and format a new partition there.

    Clean Install Windows 7

If your new install will Shut Down correctly, then copy over your files from external, install programs slowly to test performance after each to determine exact Shutdown fail point.

When it is set up and running exactly as you want, save a Win7 backup image so you can return to that point at any time in the future in 15 minutes by booting your DVD/Repair CD to "Recover Using an Image."

Shutdown failures are amongst the toughtest to troubleshoot, so you'll likely save time doing reinstall rather than banging your head against the wall for weeks as I once did.

You could also try updating your Intel Chipset Drivers. This might be the cause. If you can get a program like Driver Genius Pro to update all your drivers. There is a free driver updating program called Driver Max. The only problem with it is you can only update 2 drivers per day. If you use it, make sure you update the Intel Chipset Drivers first and if any other Intel Drivers it says you need to update first. Or, you could go searching for the Chipset Driver. I would also check any BIOS settings that may be stopping the fans from shutting down.

Unlike XP or Vista, the Win7 installer is driver-complete, with newer arriving quickly via optional WIndows Updates.

I would only change drivers when performance dictates.

I agree with housry23 that performance here dictates you try the latest factory chipset drivers.

However, I would be very measured in changing out other drivers, only using the confirmed latest Win7 driver for that specific device, first checking on the computer manufacturer's SUpport Downloads webpage for your model, then the device maker's webpage for that model device.

If the driver doesn't help the problem, then roll it back to what Win7 or Updates gave you. MS is now the authority on Win7 drivers (unlike XP or Vista) and driver scanners are not.

We have a very good Drivers forum here that can walk you through this.
