    Forward - Backward Slash?

If I type in or copy a file location in W7 (using back slashes) then try to paste it into a box in another application I get forward slashes and the application, whatever it is, cannot find that location.

    Eg.
    I type Z:\Graphics\Animals\Birds II\Lunch
    I get Z:/Graphics/Animals/Birds II/Lunch

I've tried it on several applications and never had this problem with XP (on different computers). This is annoying as all get out, and I wonder if Windows 7 keyboard codes are screwed up, or is it my hardware?

It would be your applications they do not understand the forward slash.
Windows it self has no problems with forward slashes.
