    Should i be worried?

    Hi all,
Following the threads regarding hash's and the like, i decided to check mine from the 7100 i obtained last week. Now this dont match the official ones im seeing. so my question is, should i redownload from MS the proper one and reinstalled.
    Maybe im being paranoid lol

i say yes. if they don't match then that means someone has not given you the clean ISO. i downloaded from MS 6 hours ago and from what i hear their servers are still going strong

Yes! yes! yes! Mine matched but I still downloaded from Microsoft and did a custom install, ain't nothing like the real thing damoh. Besides the fact it is costing you nothing(except a disc), you'll get peace of mind.

I agree, I'm running the leaked 7100 and the hash's match but i've just downloaded from M$. It's likely that there's nothing wrong with what you're using but to be on the safe side i would download from M$.

Soon as I got up at 0640 this morning I was on MS site and downloading. Then once it had finished burnt to disc (for safe keeping) then installed via pen drive. I dont mind doing clean installs because all my music, pictures etc etc are on other partitions. I have a 30gig partition just for this awesome os. Lets ave it!!!:)

The hash is what makes it the official release.

My DL of it came from a private FTP and the hash's are exactly the same. This means that it's completely untouched. If it had been changed or re-compiled in any way the hash would be different.

If the hash for the one you have is different then that means that it's been tampered with, and you really need to get a real copy if you intend to use it....
