    You will like System restore. It should not affect any personal data, but will return the OS to the point prior to the problem. After you are set up, I wil tell you how to protect yourself from devestating problems in the future, with the proper backup procedures.

I have an old dell laptop I set up for my daughter. It has win 7 ultimate 32. I can not remember the Admin password I used when I set it up. The screen is cracked so I have another monitor hooked up. This monitor only comes up after Windows is loaded up, so I can't get into CMOS or anything else...
This is the problem I've been dealing with for quite a while. When I try to find a program that resets the password (I used the Password Reset Disk from another computer, didn't work.) I always get a message that I need the administrator password. So... Help?
Forgotten dell windows 7 password

So I'm a computer guy myself but I can't quite figure this one out. I received a windows 7 dell computer from a friend of my mine. Only problem is that it's locked. Now, it's not locked as in, you turn on the PC, you let it load up, then it asks for the user password. It's completely locked up....
