You gotta see this W7 Behavior, weird

ok so I downloaded the 64bit version of the RC and installed right away on the test machine, then after setup was complete I changed the desktop to my favorite image (a bullfighter).

Next I downloaded AVG (latest) from, funny thing is that after it was downloaded (when I went to double-click to open), it didnt have an extension, the mouseover gave me a 7zip file, but it didnt have a 7z extension, and when I doubleclicked it asked for what program to open with, huh?

so I tried to change the extension to a zip, duh wrong, then after applying, changed it to .exe, which then gave it a, not good, so I went to change thru properties and removed the zip, and added exe with IE8 as the program to open with, I didnt do it, I tried to give it a different "other" (none) program but it gave it IE8.

So then I went to file and double-clicked to open, and W7 went berzerk, trying to open, then closing IE8 windows so fast you gotta see the video I took.

Here's the link:

What finally stopped this was to revert to old name, zip.

W764 & W764

It wasnt my intention to open an exe with IE, thats what it was given. The download I tried again and it said "unknown file type" again when I attempted download. Here's some more, one for trying to open, one for what to use to open, etc

Here's screen cap:
