    move the mouse over photo jpg, can i have more info?


    Hi

    when i move the mouse over photos (jpg) ,i get few informations

    can i extend such information ?

    i mean if i click the right mouse i get lots of info about the shot

    but in explorer when i move the mouse over the thumbs , i get few information


    can i do it?


    ps i remember there was a trick to xp too, but i forget it

    If your images are saved directly from your digital camera w/o post processing, i.e. crop section, resizing and saving as a new image which can strip your EXIF data (this is the verbose info about camera used, lens used etc) then nothing will read this data as it has been stripped.

    The original photo can be manipulated to keep this data intact but it takes software like Photoshop, Lightroom2 and others.

    I use Opanda IExif, a freeware program that was suggested on the DPReview Nikon and Olympus forums I cruise. It will give you a boatload of data if it is intact and reads, TIFF's, JPG's and most versions of native RAW data.

    Sounds like he is looking for an informative, extended tooltip popup, not a program.

    I understood that, but my answer was not merely to suggest Opanda, I included information as why his pop-up might not contain what he is looking for.

    exactly but i don't think it will work under w7
    maybe under xp

    in theory you should be able to make windows show more info
    but practically i dont think there is one

    maybe with X-Setup Pro ,it's a great program to tweak an os
