    Folders not accessible

    Hi,

When I go to Libraries - Documents and then click on a folder like My Music/My Pictures or My Videos a window pops up saying "C:\Users\Public\Documents\My Music is not accessible.
    Access is denied."
What is the point in having folders in my computer that I cannot access ? How do I make them accessible?
    Thank you,
    Mickmac

What version of Windows 7 do you have?

Also are you Administrator or a Standard User?

If you have more than one account, can you access this folder on another user account?

    Thanks Ryan.

Hello Mickmac, welcome to Seven Forums!

They're just junction points, they "point" to the actual file for compatibility reasons; have a look at the link below for a definition.

    Junction Points

Thanks for the replies, I think I have it under control now.
I do have another question for you though, it concerns Windows Media Player. When I go to my music library instead of seeing 1 of each song listed, there are 2, 3 or even more copies of each song.
Is it possible to fix this ? For some reason WMP is grabbing a copy of each song from different folders. Can I remove the whole music library altogether and just use WMP for watching movies ?
    Thanks again,
    Mickmac

    Hello Mickmac.

Glad to see you found a solution. You may have better chance getting answers with the new question if you start a new thread for it.
