Recent items aint working for windows explorer.

Hey all! I've got a small issue that been bugging me, that recent items in the explorer folder in the taskbar are no longer working. They works for such things as notepad, start menu ect, but not the folder button!

I checked that the option is enabled, as described in this thread: Recent Items - Turn On or Off And tried rebooting PC too, just to be on the safe side.. nothing helps. It refuses to display anything!

Any suggestions on what may cause this? Recent places under favourites does not seems to be updating in the right way either.

You can see the issue below on the image, no "recent" category despite that I been working in explorer for quite a while:

    Hello Cronnix,

Sometimes it may take a bit for recent items or programs to display in the jump list after opening them a few times or so. However, you might see if running a sfc /scannow command and resetting the jump lists may be able to help afterwards if something is corrupted.

    Hope this helps,

Hello Shawn, After doing both thing you listed, the jump lists started to work once again, I think it was after the scan tool finished, even thou it did not find any errors. Thanks a lot for the help!

You're most welcome Cronnix. I'm happy to hear that it's working again. :)
