    Mystery disk Q:

Don't know when this showed up, but I have a disk entry in the Computer folder - assigned Q: - which doesn't exist. There is no physical drive or partition and it doesn't appear in Disk Management. Right clicking on Q: and selecting properties says the drive capacity is zero bytes. Any idea what's going on? Can/should the phantom drive be removed?

Have you ever had a USB stick plugged in?

    Or a ram disk?

If it offends you sure. Check the modify date to see when it was added.

Microsoft Office 2010....when using the streaming Virtual Application version.
At least it does also use a drive labeled "Q"

Thanks to Derikimo and Logicearth for the replies. I did install the Office 2010 beta on two machines and sure enough they both have a Q: drive now, so that is certainly what is going on.

Great! Now I know what has created mine also but the question still remains. How do you if at all get rid of it?

Uninstall the streaming version of Office 2010. Oh just forget about it...
