Have these Vista issues been resolved in Windows 7?

Vista Ultimate 64bit / 8GBram / Dual displays

Have these Vista issues been resolved in Windows 7? - Thanks for the help, IM

1) My Vista installation won't remember more than a few windows explorer sizes, locations and positions without second hand registry modifications, is still erratic, then eventually reverts to the problem.

2) Vista won't recognize my display calibration information in my second identity.

3) Can't install Expression Web 2, because the trial program was installed. I've done all the recommended 'fixes' to no avail. Will upgrading to Windows 7 allow installation of EW2?

1) No it will only remember one explorer window settings as all explorer windows will be adjusted if you change one.

2) Yes I believe that works now, at least it does on mine.

3) sorry don't know about that one, but I would recommend doing a clean install anyway, on separate partition preferably as the RC will expire and you will need to do a fresh install again when the RTM is released unless you are upgrading from Vista.

Just found this thread that may help you with Question 1

Mr Grim - Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

"1) No it will only remember one explorer window settings as all explorer windows will be adjusted if you change one".

Why in the world would Microsoft build this serious issue into Windows 7? Users spend endless time resizing and repositioning windows, makes no sense. In a forum some time ago I read a comment by a MS Vista Engineer who said it wasn't a problem.

Action Center Warnings Persist About Resolved Issues
For as long as I have been using Windows 7, the Action Center has been prompting me to install my video driver and UPS driver -- both of which have been done, through the Action Center itself, a couple of times now. Is there any way to clear these messages? Thanks.
