Now I cant even install itunes. It says I dont have enough permission to allow changes. I am in administrator mode. Tried running as administrator still didnt work..
Please I need help ASAP
Do you have the install DVD?
If yes do a repair install if no
Type cmd in search. right click and run as administrator. In cmd type sfc /scannow
I did rich. It says windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation
no i dont. I usually do it but this time a family friend did it all for me.
I think that you should get the DVD that was used to install the OS and do a repair install. If a friend did it for you he may have done an upgrade rather than a clean install, you may be better off getting the DVD, key and do a clean install. Ask your friend for the specifics.
Will a system restore delete windows 7? If I do a system restore to factory settings will that fix the problem? and will I have to install windows 7 again?
I did not think that you had system restore points yet. Go to an early point and try it.
If it does not work, and you try factory settings, you will lose all of your programs, settings etc. It will be like the day it came from the factory.
If it were mine, before doing factory settings, I would do a clean install. If your friend did a clean install you can go the factory settings route, if not, I would go with the clean install.
I will be very happy to help with the clean install. We have tuts, you can watch youtube and it is easy.
You have the facts, tell me what you want and I will try my best to help.
I barely have anything on here. I am just gonna go with a system restore. Should I just click the system restore option which pops up when you search?
Thanks so much for your help rich
