    Welcome,

Make sure you have up to date drivers and cards.

Take the memory diagnositc test over night and reprort back.

Type memory diagnotic in search for the test.

What type of internet connection do you have, i.e. dialup / broadband?

Welcome to the forums. Here's a couple more suggestions.
    1. Up you memory from 2G to 4G
    2. run msconfig and uncheck anything not from MS or your computer mfg.
    3. download Microsoft Security Essentials, disable and remove your present AV/malware software and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

    http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

    To run msconfig
WIN key | type MSCONFIG | ENTER key | Startup tab
Now uncheck as mentioned, hit the APPLY button and reboot.

    WIN
key is the one with wavy flag on it.
