    7TP or RC

Windows 7 Transformation Pack v1 just came out. I would install it but I am not sure it will not hurt my computer like version 6, a few complications here and there. RC is out now but will expire in August. I don't want to switch OSs from Vista to RC win 7. 7TP looks cool. I just want to know if it is worth trying and if RC is worth trying too seeing as how Vista is complicated and 7 maybe complex too. What should I do?

The RC is definitely worth trying. Don't use no stinkin' transformation pack, use the real thing.

Try Win 7, adding more things to vista will not help the performance.

I must agree with Airbot and YupYup, you should really try it out. Plus you never know what those 'transformation' packs can do to your files, I tried one before and my entire OS got corrupted.

So you'd be better off trying Windows 7 RC out, plus like YupYup said, adding things wont help its performance. :P

Oh! And Windows 7 RC doesn't expire until 3/1/2010, not august, thats the Beta.

    Vista was an unfinshed product
7 is what vista should have been
I will change every computer in my house to 7 when retail is out
    Its that good
Plus for now you can use it for free 10 months

How so? The only problem I saw, was the lack of drivers and that wasn't Microsoft's fault.

I think he ment Vista as an operating system wasn't complete to what we expected and were promised, Ultimate Extras was something I was disappointed in.

Vista is rather slow if you compare it to Windows 7.

Though you are correct, the main problem was the lack of drivers. Though there were more problems then that.
