Windows 7 (Vista) desktop effects don't appear

Hello and thanks for your input.

I have seen screenshots of the wonderful desktop of Vista and WIndows 7. Now that I have Win7 64 bit installed I do say I am impressed but...

The impressive Tilted windows seen at a 3/4 view cascade, and doing this neat circle carousel thing, does not appear on my machine or else I don't know what I'm doing. Aero, the theme itself. shows in all of it's glassy glory.

can you tell me where to enable this and other nifty effects?

I have a dual core Intel (e6600)
Nvidia 8800 Pro with 512 of Ram
4 gigs of ram
500+gigs of drive space

Thanks.

If you want the Windows Switcher/Flip3D shortcut, you can get it here...

And also you can scroll thru them with YupYup's suggestion.

Have a look thru all the tutorials for other tips and effects you can enable.

I am afraid that "neat circle carousel thing" was never a real Windows 7 feature but a third party add on.

Wobbly Windows and Cube effects
Hi all Anybody been able to get the "Wobbly windows" and Cube effects like the Linux Compiz / Beryl package(s) - works in most Linux distros or is it well nigh impossible to do with windows. I like the Cube idea a lot - once you get used to it it's suprisingly useful for switching...

Special effects windows (like in Ubuntu)
After searching for some time, I decided to post a thread on this. I can't put an exact word to it, but I'm looking for a program or a tweak that can have someone move a window like you would with the "extra effects" tweak in Ubuntu (I've seen this feature since 9.04). If someone knows what I'm...

Networking Windows 7 Desktop and Vista Laptop
I am always on the go, doing same work on 2 different machines. If I could figure out how to sync the two computers so that the files I am always emailing back and forth to myself to keep both machines current, then I would probably sync instead. So, for the life of me, I cannot get my Vista...

Hey guys. I am at my home over spring break. My parents wanted me to get their computer up to date. It was running a 64 bit Windows Vista Home Premium. I was able to get a free copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and installed that onto their computer just fine. It runs fine, it is snappy,...
