    Win7 RC Boot Failure

I installed Win7 RC, everything was OK for a few days. This morning I turned it on and it can't boot up properly. WerFault.exe, runonce.exe, explorer.exe, and misexec.exe all fail to load. 0x77243892 error, says the memory could not be read. Only thing that shows up is a black screen with the Windows 7 Evaluation copy. Build 7100 on the bottom right hand corner. I went into safemode and did a system restore on its recommended restore point, but it's doing the same thing once Win7 tries to load. Any ideas?

Possibly bad memory? How many sticks do you have? Maybe try 1 stick at a time?

What recent software have you installed? It could be something simple like incompatible software trying to access the same memory space as Windows.

Hmm, 4 sticks, 8 GB total. I just did another restore point and deleted my WebCam drivers since they were giving me a problem when I installed them. I think it's back to normal?

Did you install it with compatability for Vista? If not that might be why the issue is present.

It gave me the option for installing with recommended settings, so I am assuming it chose vista as the compatibility for installing it. Right now my pc seems to be normal after the restore, but I just tried installing steam again, and it's giving me a WiseCustomCalla.dll error "Invalid or could not be found." Ever heard of it?

You might want to try here - Windows 7 Forums - Search Results - as there have been issue pointed out with Steam on Windows 7. If the link fails just do a forum search for Keyword(s) Steam & Search titles only in the dropdown.

You issue may have been mentioned in one of the results listed.

Did you install Anonymizer on your machine, and do you have McAfee Antivirus?
