What do you like about windows 7

I used Vista since March 2007 then upgraded to 7 in February of this year so a lot of the stuff in 7 isn't new to me but what is new is definitely worth it. At first, I didn't like the idea but Libraries have grown on me and now, going back to Vista or XP, oh boy do I miss that.
Maximizing a window by dragging it to the top of the screen.
Now, when using machines with an older OS I always try that and then realize that feature didn't exist yet...
Strangely enough, I do like that feature as well. Also, I like the fact that the taskbar stays transparent when a window is maximized. I don't like the title bar to do that but the taskbar is just perfect.
Speaking of which, slideshow ... what a great feature. Love cycling through a bunch of wallpapers. Why have the dilemma of choosing one wallpaper when I can have a bunch of them. The fact that I can access the Downloads folder as well as Videos Library straight from the Start Menu now.
And of course the performance enhancements are all very welcomed as well as the enhanced and less annoying UAC. All in all, Windows 7 improved on Vista very nicely. Going back to Vista is acceptable but I do miss some of the 7 features, especially Libraries. Going back to XP though is just dreadful and quite frankly, if I can avoid using it, I do. I mainly end up using XP because most of my customers have older PCs that run that OS but 7 is most preferred for me.

I had been using Vista, so Aero and Search is nothing new to me.
My favourite parts of Windows 7 are, in order of preference:
- Stability. The only time I need to reboot is when installing updates...
- Search. Vastly improved over what it was in Vista. It has almost become my primary file management tool.
- Libraries. Even with proper folder and file organization, it's a difficult task managing data across 9 hard disks. Windows 7 Libraries make that job alot easier!
- The Taskbar
- Windows XP Mode. The perfect little sandbox for testing applications, especially when the "undo disks" feature is enabled. Almost makes me wish "undo disks" was a part of the standard Windows 7 system disk...

There's a lot of things members don't like so thought I would redress the balance with this thread.
I like the "snipping tool" very useful, easy
to use and saves a lot of time for someone like me who uses screenshots a lot!
I truly hope that Windows 7 is not used for mission critical applications. Let's see now, 100 games of Hearts played, 39 won that's 38% right ?????
To be fair.... thats not technically Windows 7's fault. Its Hearts fault, which I believe is unchanged from Vista

I agree with the above comments;
- Start Menu Search then Pin to Taskbar, Start Menu, etc...
- Rename a file, it only blues out the name, and leaves the extension alone;
- Snipping Tool is very cool;
and also:
- Right click folders, create New Folders option in context menu;
- Self ISO burning utility;
- Very good System Image creation utility;
- A handy little Show Desktop button or Win+Space;
- Inbuilt Parental Controls to set time limits for kids account (although requires further development);
- Very good antivirus app - MS Security Essentials;
- Win7 Libraries work nicely;
- Fast boot-up without much tweaking!
