How are you deleting the files?
I delete using a right click on the file name and click on delete or use delete on the keyboard.
Try to make sure your computer is clean of any infection.
Computer is clean.
I find that Vista and Windows 7 to be real dogs. Given the problems I've had I am looking to an OS that is simpler, cleaner, and more efficient.
At this point the turle slow delete will remain unsolved.
The disk is defragged every week. It is 0% fragmented.
was there any solution to this problem? i have one of my users experiencing it. i don't think it has anything to do with disk fragmentations because when deleting via the Fiel menu > Delete, it is quick, but using the Delete button from the keyboard is ridiculously slow.
I had this same problem with Windows 7 Pro. Very slow delete operation. The cure for me was to clean the registry with CClean and reboot.
