It's the same apart from the phone support?

Did you check the downloads section to make sure - can you post a screenie of the downloads section you get with Technet Standard?

You only get 6 Elearning courses instead of 12
No I can only get the my normal download center but it states that it does not include SOME Enterprise or Dynamics software.
I would assume by that it is nearly the same

To me, I don't see mention of it having the server based products. It says that the standard is more for supporting the desktop....and it says that it includes "most", but not all of the commercial software.

    STANDARD said:
Includes most MS commercial software including Beta and RC releases. Does not include some Enterprise or Dynamics software
    PROFESSIONAL said:
Includes all MS commercial software including Beta and RC releases of Operating System, Application, Server, and Dynamics software.
It's still a little vague on what constitutes as 'MS commercial software'. Does standard include Operating Systems or not? (excluding Enterprise versions, Servers (Vail?) etc

It looks like Standard appears on the majority of items of interest - so standard may be the way to go after all.

Old question I know, but can you let your sub 'expire' and then re-sub the same account (down graded to standard though) after x-months have passed retaining all your current keys etc?
