thnks for assist Hammerhead786. But update doesnt pull down any driver. But I want to add that when I installed w7 it found an audio driver which was different than before. after a while it also found the previous one. so there was two installed. When I got bluescreen I was suspicious about these two duplicate and disabled one of them. But I got a blue screen again. So I uninstalled one of them but at start it found and installed it automatically. I am not sure what is the problem really.

ntkrnlpa.exe thing can you explain it to me? I am not so familiar with comp terminology. Thanks

4 optional updates found about drivers in w update. I will try to install them now. But when I checked from device manager there was no need for updates..

Sorry mate all I can tell you is that ntkrnlpa.exe is a part of the OS and probably has something to do with the kernel. If you have got multiple sound drivers installed, I would say remove them and then let Win 7 find the driver for you.

To state the obvious, I think there will be a lot of issues around drivers up until the point when manufacturers actually start releasing them for Win 7. I would suggest that you check on the manufacturers website for an updated bios, however, ***do not update the bios using an OS which is crashing as this could render your equipment useless***.

I would also follow Brink's recommendation - "You may have a bad copy of Windows 7. I would recommend that you download the Windows 7 RC directly from Microsoft to ensure you have a good clean copy, then install it instead to see how it works for you."

    Name444,

You might see if doing a repair install may be able to help fix this for you.

    Hope this helps,
