    Favorites missing from explorer sidebar

My favorites are missing from the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer bookmarks) sidebar. When I try to add folders to the favorites I have a red circle with a slash through it. If I right-click on favorites and click add location to favorites nothing happens. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

That looks like the circle is in the library not in the favorites,

Here's a couple tutorials to look at,

Favorites Empty in Navigation Pane - Fix

Favorites - Add or Remove from Navigation Pane

    Favorites Library - Create

    Hello Arc,

The C:\Users\(user-name)\Favorites folder is for the Internet Explorer "Favorites" website links, while the C:\Users\(user-name)\Links folder would be for "Favorites" in the Windows Explorer navigation pane instead. :)

    Sorry Shawn !!
Yes it is C:\users\<username>\links , that contains three shortcuts namely Desktop, Downloads and Recent Places.

Thanks a lot that you rectified me :)

    Not exactly that

I was trying to post quickly ... as the link is named Favoritrs there, I written the exact. If I would a bit careful, if I checked it before posting, it would not happened I think.
Surely, I'd try to be careful from this very post, so that a silly mistake from my part may not coz a difficulty for others
