    Dont know if anyone noticed


    as i was looking for Orca (msi editor) i found the emulation of cd drives
    but the iso mounting is also possible in xp through a download from ms and have virtual cd-rom drives with a MS driver....




    Microsoft makes a tool available so that I can open and view the files in an ISO file. It emulates a CD-ROM drive on my computer.
    1. Download the Microsoft Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel package here 2. Extract the files to your desktop, then copy the VCdRom.sys file to your %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder. For most people, this is under C:\Windows\system32\drivers.
    3. Open the VCdControlTool.exe file.
    4. Click Driver Control…
    5. Click Install Driver then navigate to the %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder and double-click VCdRom.sys.
    6. Click Start.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Click Add Drive. A drive letter will be added under My Computer.
    9. Select an unused drive letter from the drive list and click Mount.
    10. Navigate and select to the ISO image file you wish to mount, then click OK. UNC naming conventions should not be used, however mapped network drives should be OK.

    Yeah, it was mentioned over in Vistax64 forums that this particular one pretty much sucks.

    The latest and greatest Virtual Clone Drive works like a champ, and and Daemon Tools just released a new version of their lite tool (presumably to combat the effects of GTA IV and Securerom....) and there is another one mentioned here on the forums - stick with those.

    Also, Orca is also the name of a browser in beta from the makers of Avant browser - but Orca is not based on trident, it is based upon Gecko

    as for the first one i thought since i dont havent signed up there..

    as for orca
    i use it regularly to "force" some installs of software that are thinking are incompatible with windows...

Something I've noticed?

I don't know if this is a PCIe thing but its something I noticed with my 220GT. No video card BIOS message during the POST. It goes straight to my motherboard BIOS screen. I don't remember ever having a PCI or AGP card that didn't show a BIOS screen first thing and then pass off to the motherboard...
but if you go to win7 site Welcome to Windows 7 and you click on view no-page style (both in IE and FF3) there is a link called "download the Windows 7 Beta" which links to this
