So....I completely reformatted my hardrive, and tried installing 7, also a fail. So I am thinking that the ISO i downloaded sucks. I dont know if u guys are allowed to tell me, but which exact ISO are you guys using, since there are various diff ones out there on the net. If u cant tell me that, maybe a hint? lol, cuz something has to be wrong with this burned iso dvd I am using....

I grabbed a 6956 ISO that simply will not install - so I am going to *try* to wait until the public Beta is announced and / or I get my official copy sent to me from teh Developer Conference I attended.

I have plenty of other things to do, like get XP x64 completely configured, and then get Vista x64 reinstalled on here....

STOP: 0x00000078 is a kernel mode initialization error. Very low level. Suggest maybe bad RAM at first but still looking at his system specs for possible issues.

" Digitizer and Executive Stylus " so it's a early tablet PC. Can you turn the tablet options off in the BIOS and try to install?

this can be also bad iso as vista happend to work great on it...
it can also be those errors where "it happens in y situation but not in x"

you have also check for and have the latest bios updates???

Hahaha, yeah I'm familiar with TPB, and have found multiple iso's there. I really think I should just wait for the public beta to be released, since it is just around the corner, and I think I will be able to wait even though it is driving me nuts I haven't had a chance to mess with 7 yet.

I am however hoping to get a nice little netbook for myself during the holidays, and would most likely install 7 on it, mostly because I do not think I can go back to using XP, and Vista would be too much of a resource hog on a netbook.

Thanks again guys for all of your help! I will deff try the new beta when it is released and will give updates on wether or not I can get that to work on my machine!
