    Since this is a laptop,

    Edit: I re-read your post... ignore grey text do you have an external mouse? or are you using the Trackpad?

    If you are using an external mouse, then disable the trackpad temporarily to see if that fixes the issue.

    This might be a hardware issue with the trackpad scrolling to lower corner? (just a guess)

    new laptop came with windows 7 but i had it upgraded to professional instead of home
    it is a sony vaio VPCEB21FD
    I should have bought the more expensive one...... i dont know

    yes re the desktop and the mouse
    why does this happen

    i am not using the touch pad.. i have a wireless mouse
    works better for me...
    when you say track pad
    do you mean touch pad
    how do i disable track pad????

    never had a problem with my other sony XP
    my husband did all the downloading of everything for that one.
    my husband died 2 years ago. i am young.. so was he.
    i am so upset at the moment

    i did not upgrade
    the place i bought it did it
    cause i wanted xp
    but i dont use the xp
    on this
    it did not work for me the way i thought and i dont use it
    have it on WINDOWS 7 IE8
    didnt want ie8 wanted ie7
    but I am on ie8 now....

    this is a good model isnt it
    i feel like crying

    I know you are upsest, but we will fix the computer. You have to think back. When you got windows 7, did the store have to put all your prgrams back? Did they ask for the CD's. For example, how did the games get back on the computer when you got Windows 7?

    no I bought the laptop with windows 7 ... it was windows 7 IE 8 home version... i asked for professional
    so they did that for me
    i dont know what you mean by putting all prog. back..
    i am sorry...... i feel so dumb
    and i have been using puters for years and years

    Ok the question is answerd, the computer came with Windows 7 preinstalled.
    Good we are doing fine.

    Now this tutorial is good for Vista and windows 7. You read, ask questions and then do what it says. It may fix a lot.
