    Just was thinking....

Windows Seven, should be renamed Windows. Just simply Windows. No suffix. No XP, no Vista, no codenames, no numbers. Just simply Windows. This OS is by far the best I have used. Sure it has some bugs here and there, but that's what happens with Betas.

    It could be:

    Windows Basic
    Windows Business
    Windows Home Premium
    Windows Ultimate

Just like when movies are named after their first. Rambo 4 was just Rambo. Rocky 6 was simply Rocky. For games Test Drive 7 was just called Test Drive.

I just personally think it would be cool. Kind of epic in a dorky kind of way. Make this the new definitive Windows. All future installations shall build upon this.

LOL, I think the problem with that would be when they bring out the next one people would be confused as to whether this is the only Windows, if it's the first one etc. I think 7 is a good idea, as it's not long at all.

I don't really care what it's called. That's up to marketing. Just so they don't push it out the door before it's ready. Just 'Windows' would be confusing though.

I can understand where that would cause confusion. Sorry, just me being a Windows dork.

I have always thought it better to be Windows as the brand and the # for the version. Otherwise you would not be able to tell what version the copy of Windows is with just a Windows name on it by itself.

    Just my opinion though.
