Win7 Home Password disaster
New computer Win 7 home premium. Only 1 user but log in window made me "choose" 1 user. So I changed setting to choose me to login automatically. Did this by going to controluserpasswords2 and changing setting to require user name and password. With only 1 user name in the list it defaulted to me. However, Trouble is I left password space blank because I wanted that security (I originally set a login password) Windows 7 "allowed" blank password but now on boot up, it goes straight to my account but neither the original password or "blank" work.
I tried NT Password and registry freeware and it worked up to a point. Set admin to no password but it wouldn't let me change the other password since it said was blank.
NT program says I have 3 accounts: admin, owner and guest. I can only work on the Admin and blank that password. NT program won't let me change anything on owner and guest because it says values are blank
When computer boots up it goes to account George account (my name) and won't accept any passwords. Tried switch user and says Administrator account is disabled. Going to George account kind of odd because George account doesn't even exist on the list of accounts shown by NT Password Registor program.
So somehow Win 7 boots up, and I guess goes into admin account (password blanked somehow --- did this fwiw even before I ran NT password Registry program). Then chooses George account (not listed by NT program) and neither my original password or the blank password work. So I can't boot up into win 7.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated!
