    Cant Remove file

    Hi All,

I have windows 7 and received an email about windows live beta.
I downloaded and installed windows live beta and inside the same email it had an ecomotion (i think thats what they call them) about shrek.
Downloaded it and tried to install but had no luck.
Now when i try to delete the file i cant.
I delete it from my d drive and it goes to the thrash folder.
I delete it from the thrash folder and all of a sudden its back.
Can someone please help me delete this file permently?

    Cheers

    Hello shanefromoz.

The first thing I would do is to download and install the free version of MBAM, then run a full virus scan to make sure you haven't been infected, have a look at the link below.

Do you still have the E-mail about WL Beta? If so, can you paste the Shrek icon link data here? Maybe with that we can help.

Go back to the Malwarebytes site and download
FileASSASSIN: Malwarebytes and give it a try.

Try searching for shrek.exe, see what turns up. I downloaded it and was able to delete it with no problem.
