Set magnifier to 125% and lock it

I just bought a new Dell Studio laptop with Windows 7 installed. At the bottom right of the IE 8 explorer window is a number (change zoom level). I like it set at 125% and to stay at that number. Whenever I am working in my email on IE, the number will change on its own and I have to set back to 125%. Is there a way to set this number ar 125% an have it stay at that number?

Hello Kasey6465, welcome to Seven Forums!

I use different setting all the time and I've never had it change on its own, I'd be interested to see if anyone else has had this issue; be sure to keep checking back.

Welcome to SevenForums Kasey. I set mine on 128% using the custom option. It has never changed you might try that way?

I have mine set at 200% and it never changes until I do it. Some times I have to change it to view some things better and complete. ( 40 in. flat screen from across the room.)

When I set it at Page>Zoom it never changes back. I also set Text Size at Larger.

Then on rightclick Desktop>Screen Res, I set the DPI for everything else at 120%.

Let's me sit back a bit more.
