I wouldn't offer this advice until you know what folders the user is trying to access. This is how the junction point screwup gets started.

    Hi,

Has anybody found a solution for this ?

How do I get administrative rights to be able to do anything in Win 7 ?

    Thanks !
You have not told us WHAT you are trying to do. Give us a folder you are trying to get to, or a program you can't install. There are folders in Windows 7 that you DO NOT access under any circumstances. Without more information, we can't help you.

    Hi guys
I have also hit this same problem. My account says that I am Administrator but when I try to moderate a certain file in C:\windows\system32\drivers it says that I do not have the administrator rights, my first instinct was to right click the file and press open as Administrator, but that function was not there.

What can I do? All help is appreciated!

What are you trying to do to ther driver ? You either install a driver or uninstall a driver. Nothing more.

Are you indeed in the admin group and have full rights ?

I have the same question. I am trying to update the firmware of my CD/DVD player.

I tried to "Run as Administrator" but it still fails. I should be able to do this.

    Thanks for any advice.
