HELP? I get strange error that I am missing credit card information.

    Avast boot scan is still 32bit only.

    Not as far as I'm concerned. I always welcome any other help coming into a thread, plus addenda and clarifications can be helpful to everyone.

    I wish I had more help sometimes when we're knee deep in Installation issues. I'd hate to think people are staying out of the thread because they think someone is already helping. Often times I'm helping because no one has yet and really need more help.

    I only gave him the options I did because he had NO ANTIVIRUS. Rather than mention all the free options, I figured better we get some protection on there, get him to scan with MalwareBytes and MSE and hopefully correct his current issue (which can certainly be way more serious than it appears). But I agree an ability to scan in safe mode and probably deletion of restore points will be the next steps should he respond back with his results. A Guy
