    I suspect it's a file security issue. It looks like shellstyle.dll hasn't loaded, as well as other gui elements.

    You need to have the actual error to have the steps, so I don't and may describe wrong because of it...

    but..right click desktop, then personalize. Then either now, or by clicking near the bottom on window color, there should be something asking you to troubleshoot and/or enable Aero. If you still can't find what I'm talking about, it's around there somewhere.

    Also make sure your driver for video is installed well, and newest is best of course.

    But the thing is aero is enabled... Look at the toolbars of my windows etc... But when i get home ill have another look

    You could also try System Properties->Advanced system settings and click Settings in 'Performance'. Set everything to 'Adjust for best appearence'...

    Just a thought :)

    I don't honestly know how you'd fix it or even if it's the cause, but I've seen other problems from upgrades on this forum that seem to have been caused by improper file security. I expect you'd have to do a clean install or maybe a repair install to fix it.
