Just installed Windows 7 - indeed a whole new world!!!

I just finished installing and updating Windows 7 after a few days without internet access because of an old router that was incompatible with the new OS. I don't remember ANY time when Windows XP ran that fast and smoothly. It is SO obvious that this is a new, modern OS. Another thing is Windows 7 is a lot more visually appealing. So yes, it has it's little quirks and oddities which I'll get to know and be familiar with in time, and also I have this one-of-a-kind forum and the book I've ordered which should arrive in the coming days, both which will be an immense source of information and help should the need arise.

I would like to thank to all the great members of sevenforums for their great and professional assistance to me so far, and may we both benefit from each other in the future.

I'm curios to know that too? I didn't think that was possible?

It is usually only possible when someone uses the USB connection to a router, although in this day and age, I can never understand why anyone would do so.

I was thinking maybe it was the setup utility on the CD that was bundled with it that wouldn't work. You could still log in via the web interface but not everybody realizes that. My D-Link has a USB connector but you can't network though it. It's for printers and network attached storage. Now my old cable modem had a USB port that you could network though, after you installed the drivers on the "one" PC that you could connect to it.
