If you don't have a spare machine, virtualize it! Install Win 7, and within the 30 days, install SP1 and give it a shot.

I'm testing it already. Have the watermark down in the corner, which is kind of annoying, but I can live with it. Startup time seems to have slowed down quite a bit. That's pretty much all I've noticed so far.

I'm in the process of rolling out Windows 7 to my company, so I need to know if SP1 break anything we use. I have no care or desire to test it at home, but I do have my reasons for wanting to know in the corporate arena. I'll sleep better at night once it is pushed out through Windows Update, that my client systems will be okay with it.

I had the watermark but just went to Control Panel - System and reactivated and it went away. My laptop actually seems a bit "snappier" but I've only had SP1 installed for a couple of hours. Time will tell...

Yeah, I though about that, but my comp was still activated after the SP1 install.

Nope...my Win 7 installation runs fine now. If I had any specific problems that SP1 might repair, then I might have tried it, but that is not the case.
