That was why I asked about the safe mode. I was wondering if you could open anything in the Safe Mode with Networking.

OHH okay. =) I'll try that now and see if it works.

Edit: Still has the same error.

You'll probably need to download RKill from the computer you are on and transport it via USB or other media to the infected computer, which means you need revised instructions.

After you download RKill, go to the Windows 7 computer and restart:

Select Safe Mode with Networking. (To do this, turn your computer off and then back on and immediately when you see anything on the screen, start tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter on your keyboard. Windows will now boot into safe mode with networking and prompt you to login as a user.)

Let's also check IE. Please start Internet Explorer, and when the program is open, do the following:
-- click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.
    -- click on the Connections
-- click on the Lan Settings button tab
-- under the Proxy Server section, please uncheck the checkbox labeled "Use a proxy server for your LAN"
-- press the OK button to close this screen. Then press the OK button to close the Internet Options screen.

Next, transfer RKill to the desktop and run it as instructed. Then continue with Malwarebytes instructions from above.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Let's take another stab and see if this works. You'll need to transport it as well.

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.

    • Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.
    • A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
    • Post the contents of exehelperlog.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com, and should open at the end of the scan)

Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).

Wow... Now it says "Windows cannot find 'E:\exeHelper.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again'. I also have tried this several times... And still the same error.

Unless someone else has a suggestion, I think it is time to do a repair install. There is an excellent tutorial here: Repair Install - Windows 7 Forums

    Hello,

I have seen 0xc0000005 exceptions in BSOD occur because the 3rd party firewall blocks local NETBIOS ports used by system services. What 3rd Firewall are you using ??
