    How do I disable signing in on bootup


    I'm running Windows 7 HP. How do I disable the signing in icon when I boot up my machine. I just want it to go straight to the desktop. Thanks.

New to Win 7 but can't figure out why, when I leave my laptop inactive for a period of time I HAVE to enter my password again and again. I have no screen saver set so don't understand which setting controls this? Is there a "sleep" mode or something I haven't found yet? Thanks.
