Hi, Mitchell. I'm confused. IE search gives choice of Google, Bing and Safe Search. Don't know what Safe Search is but the other two are Internet searches. I'm concerned with desktop searches within the PC.

Hi Jim
If you look back at my threads I was talking about WINDOWS Explorer not INTERNET Explorer! That's what you open when you click on the "Folder" icon in the taskbar here:

Anyway, I'm more comfortable with Explorer search. I have been trying to find how to get more than three previous searches to show up, but Google and extensive registry searches have found nothing. Working on it still, though.
Hi Kari,
Like Alice said "This gets curiouser and curiouser"
I've just gone back to this thread and your previous clip has disappeared again. Here's a screenshot and I promise it is not edited!

THanks, Mitchell. Sorry I missed your point. That does work. Is that the same search engine as the one on the big button (formerly known as 'Start')?

Yes it is the same search engine but using it at the Start button end will search all your system which for me is the C drive and three external hard drives so I always use the one in Windows Explorer so that I can limit the search more.

Just opened up my PC and today the snip is viewable. Just a tiny glitch somewhere that we would probably never find then not learn a lot if we did. Lets put it down to one of lifes many mysteries, shall we?
