Haha, I agree dmex. My PC isn't ancient, but the general trend is that 7 runs better on systems less powerful. My WEI is 3.6... And it all runs better on Windows 7. I'm sure those with more powerful systems notice less of a difference. However, I find the fact that I don't even get significant slowdown when I'm doing heavy editing in Sony Vegas and have a gazillion apps open is wonderful. Normally I would disable aero and window composition in such cases for Vista, but not so for Seven.
    ha...
    i got a 3.0...lol
and i edit Video with that (laptop) (Adobe Premiere 6.5 and CS3)
well i dont have a gazillion apps on but i do have some apps open
firefox and processxp with some excel or word processing while its rendering...lol

Hehe, I usually have Sony Vegas, Adobe Fireworks(I use that with a bunch of plugins instead of Photoshop for photo editing, I think its more streamlined though not as powerful), GIMP(for anything that might not be in fireworks, almost as powerful as photoshop), AIM and MSN, and a bunch of tabs in SRWare Iron. Once in a while I'll have my Cinema 4D open as well, as well as Adobe AfterEffects. So yea, I have a bunch of stuff open XD

lmfao - funny, I beta tested Vista on a P4 3.2 GHz machine with 3 GB of RAM and a VisionTek x1650Pro AGP Video Card with 512MB of vram....Vista runs great on my current rig, but I know already in the little bit I used it that W7 is gonna run a boatload faster and it looks better and it is every bit as stable....
