You dont need a registry hack to change the colour depth.

Right click on desktop and select screen resolution
    Click on Advanced settings
Go to adaptor and there you can change the colour depth.

change color depth through command line

Tre it will stay set if left alone by users. However what about those of us that have a few thousand machines in the domain. are you seriously proposing that we go caost to coast each night and loginto them all to verify that a user hasnt changed the setting?

Now the question repeats if one wanted to change the color depth via a commande line or a registry setting... does anyone know how to do that?

Please if you do not know then do not spu things up on the board just to get your post count up.
