R click to email

R click to fax is available. Is it possible to add windows live mail as a third option?

do you not have right-click >> send to >> mail recipient?

that should open up a new mail message with an attachment.

ok - i assume you have windows live mail downloaded and installed.

first of all, you need to find where your send-to menu is:

type %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo into the search-bar on your start menu.

then unzip the attached file and put it into that folder.

...or try this tutorial.

post back and let us know if it worked.

Found the 'send to' zipped file, but windows does not know how to open etc. All roads seem to lead to downloading software called 'file helper' which you have to buy and seems to want to check my whole computer. The tutorial also.

Is this program necessary to enable me to 'send to' and can it be trusted not to complicate my life?!

Well, it is possible that you may be infected with something.
Get Malwarebytes and run it.
Also, run this online scanner
Let us know what the results are.

Ok,, the File Helper thing I think is this.... File Helper: Open unopenable files
I have never seen it before. and it is not needed and a waste of money.
I would still run what I suggested above.

Download the file at the bottom of this post
Then double click it....

this should reset the file association for ZIP files in Win 7.

Both scans are negative.
The sendto files that the windows search finds is Compressed(zipped)folder.ZFSendtotarget
I'm not sure what you mean by d/l?

Thanks for your patience.
I downloaded your file and ran it, but the 'send to' file still cannot find a program to open it.
I would consider buying the file helper to solve this problem if you thought it might work.
Any other ideas? Would winzip work?

ok - the malware possibilty turned out to be a wild goose chase.

i can't understand why you can't open zips in explorer - it's normally built in.

before trying winzip, see if you can restore zip functionality in windows by trying this tutorial. it's written for vista, but still works in 7.

if that doesn't work, then don't go for winzip - as you will need to pay once the trial period expires. instead, go for 7zip - it's totally free, and will work with zip, rar, 7zip, iso and lots of others.

then finally once you have zips working, try the original tutorial again.
