    can anyone help me find the post a user made about the enhanced search features of the start menu? If i remember he typed a few letters that would open certain programs.. Kinda like hotkeys but just using the start menu... maybe im going crazy but i swear i saw this :)

    It's so simple it's not obvious until you use it. Just press the Windows key and start typing what you want. For example Windows,m,o,u,Enter brings up the mouse control panel. Just watch the Start menu change while you type.

    If you don't have a Windows key on your keyboard, you'll have to click the Start orb and type.

    <CTRL>+<ESC> also brings up the Start Menu. Very useful if your keyboard doesn't have a windows key, or it is damaged.
