    can anyone help me find the post a user made about the enhanced search features of the start menu? If i remember he typed a few letters that would open certain programs.. Kinda like hotkeys but just using the start menu... maybe im going crazy but i swear i saw this :)

    It's so simple it's not obvious until you use it. Just press the Windows key and start typing what you want. For example Windows,m,o,u,Enter brings up the mouse control panel. Just watch the Start menu change while you type.

    If you don't have a Windows key on your keyboard, you'll have to click the Start orb and type.

    <CTRL>+<ESC> also brings up the Start Menu. Very useful if your keyboard doesn't have a windows key, or it is damaged.

I know how to create shortcut keys, what I don't know is which hotkeys are not currently in use. I don't want to overwrite something else. Does anyone have a list of maybe 5-6 free spaces on the keyboard so to speak?
Shortcut keys for jpg files

I have created a shortcut to a jpg file. It opens fine when I click the shortcut.However, when I assign any key to it the key will not open the jpg although the jpg still opens when I click on it. What am I missing? Maybe this approach does not work with a jpg file.
Hey guys, Does anybody know any way of changing the default keyboard shortcuts of windows media player. I am mainly concerned with the "pause" keyboard shortcut on windows media player. The default is "CTRL+P" but I would much rather have "SPACE" key as the default like other popular media...
